These terms keep things clear and fair between you and us. They are written plainly on purpose — the same way we write everything else.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Gentle Rigor website and products (the “Service”), operated by ID49 Digital LLC (“Gentle Rigor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By visiting the site, signing up for an email, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What we offer
Gentle Rigor publishes educational content and digital products about staying consistent without self-hatred. This currently includes a free guide (The Forgiving Habit), the paid Forgiving Systems Toolkit, and an upcoming course and app for which you can join a waitlist. Our content is for general education and reflection.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
4. The free guide and emails
When you submit your email to get the free guide or to join a waitlist, you consent to receive the guide and related emails about the specific list you joined. We only email you about what you asked for, and every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
5. Purchases and payment
The Forgiving Systems Toolkit is sold for a one-time price of $12 (you're welcome to pay more). Prices are shown in US dollars and may change over time, but a change never affects a purchase you have already completed.
Checkout and payment are handled by our payment provider, Polar. By completing a purchase you authorize the applicable charge and agree to Polar's terms. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal.
6. Refunds
Our products are digital and delivered immediately. Even so, if the Toolkit isn't a fit for you, email us at hi@gentlerigor.com within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you — no guilt, no hassle.
7. License and acceptable use
When you obtain one of our products, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal use. You may print and use the materials for yourself. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, sublicense, or share the files publicly, and you may not remove any notices from them.
You agree not to misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to disrupt it, gain unauthorized access, or use it in violation of any applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and its content — including the text, guides, templates, designs, and branding — are the intellectual property of ID49 Digital LLC and are protected by applicable laws. Your license to use a product does not transfer any ownership to you.
9. Not professional advice
Gentle Rigor's content is for education and reflection. It is not medical, psychological, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. You are responsible for how you apply it, and you should consult a professional for advice about your specific situation.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will be achieved.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ID49 DIGITAL LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ID49 Digital LLC and its officers, members, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to or rely on third-party services, such as Polar for payments and external platforms like YouTube. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Changes to the Service
Some products (the course and app) are still in development and may change, launch later, or not launch at all. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we are not liable for doing so.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before any formal action, we both agree to try to resolve any dispute in good faith for 30 days. Any unresolved dispute will be subject to the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
17. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a transfer of our business.
